Digital Guarantees

Guarantees your customers can trust — issued, tracked, and verified digitally.

Guarantor replaces paper warranty cards with digitally signed guarantees. Companies set up their catalogue and conditions, issue guarantees in seconds and verify them on the spot when a claim is made. Customers keep every guarantee in one account and present it with a QR code.

Why digital

Why a digital guarantee is more reliable than paper

A paper warranty card can be lost, damaged, or altered. A digital guarantee is signed, stored securely, and can be verified at any time.

Tamper-evident

Each guarantee is digitally signed when it is issued, so any later change can be detected.

Verified on the spot

Staff confirm with a single scan that a guarantee is genuine and still valid.

Always accessible

Stored securely in your account and available from any device, at any time.

No risk of loss

There is no paper document to misplace, so the guarantee is available whenever it is needed.

How it works

From issuance to a claim, in four steps

Every step, from issuance to verification, is completed online. No paper documents or phone confirmations are required.

1

The company issues a guarantee

The company issues a digital guarantee for a product or service instead of a paper one.

2

The customer receives it

The guarantee is delivered by email, SMS, or GuarantorID, and the customer can view it at any time.

3

The customer presents a QR code

To make a claim, the customer opens the guarantee and shows a QR code. The code refreshes automatically and can be used only once.

4

The company verifies the guarantee

Staff scan the code and see the guarantee's current status: whether it is genuine, whether it is still valid, and what it covers.

FAQ

Common questions

General

Who is Guarantor for?

For companies that sell products or services with a guarantee, and for their customers. Companies issue and manage guarantees; customers receive, keep and present them.

What is a digital guarantee?

A digital guarantee is a guarantee that a company issues for a product or service in electronic form instead of on paper. It is digitally signed when issued, stored in your account, and can be verified by the issuing company when you make a claim.

Is a digital guarantee legally valid?

A digital guarantee records the issuing company's own commitment to its customer, on the same terms the company would otherwise provide on paper. The company remains responsible for fulfilling it under the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. Guarantor's digital signature protects the record against alteration and confirms who issued it; it is not a qualified electronic signature. Full terms are set out in the Public offer.

Which languages does Guarantor support?

Armenian, English and Russian. The website and all apps can be switched between them, and companies can enter their catalogue and conditions in all three.

Is my data secure?

All connections to Guarantor are encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only in hashed form (Argon2id), and an account is temporarily locked after repeated failed sign-in attempts. Each company's signing key is stored encrypted. Personal data is processed in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Protection of Personal Data”; see the Privacy policy for details.

For companies

How does my company start issuing guarantees?

Create an account and register your company. Guarantor reviews every new company, and once yours is approved you can start issuing guarantees to your customers.

What can my company set up besides issuing guarantees?

A company profile in the Guarantor company directory, a catalogue of products and services with price and guarantee terms, legal conditions, branches, and employees with permissions. The Features page lists everything.

Can customers see our products before they buy?

Yes. Your catalogue, with price and guarantee terms, is visible to customers in the Guarantor app alongside other companies' catalogues. Purchases are made with your company, not on Guarantor.

What happens to issued guarantees if we change a product's conditions or price?

Nothing. The conditions, price and limits are fixed in each guarantee when it is issued. Changes to the catalogue apply only to guarantees issued afterwards.

How does a company confirm a guarantee is genuine?

By scanning the QR code shown in your guarantee. Each code is valid for less than a minute and can be used only once, so a screenshot or copy of it cannot be reused.

How are claims handled?

The customer shows the guarantee's QR code, your staff verify it and register the claim with a description and attachments. The claim then appears in the customer's guarantee. Your company handles the claim itself, as it would with a paper guarantee.

Can we issue guarantees from our own system?

Yes, through the Guarantor API on the IntegrationAPI plan. Contact us to discuss terms.

How is Guarantor paid for?

Through a monthly plan that includes a number of guarantees, plus a fixed price for each guarantee over that number. Guarantor issues a monthly payment document, which you pay by bank transfer and then upload the proof. Current plans are on the Pricing page.

For customers

Do customers pay anything to use Guarantor?

No. Receiving, keeping, sharing and presenting guarantees is free for customers. Plans and fees apply only to companies.

How do I receive a guarantee?

The company sends it to your email, phone number or GuarantorID. If you don't have an account yet, you can create one from the guarantee you received.

What happens if I lose access to my guarantee?

Your guarantees are stored in your account, not on a device, so you can sign in from any device to see them. If you forget your password, you can reset it using your registered email address or phone number.

Can I share a guarantee with someone else?

Yes. You can give another Guarantor account access to it by email or phone number, and revoke that access at any time.

How do I make a claim?

Contact the company that issued the guarantee, open the guarantee in your account and show its QR code. Staff scan it to confirm the guarantee before handling the claim.
